Not only did I land a great job right out of college, but I’m also growing my skills on that job and my experience. My resume is currently at 2 pages and I don’t think it’s enough to show my full potential.
I used this template to apply for two internships, both of which I was accepted to. I had no idea what I was doing, and honestly, neither did my sister, until we started looking at each other and noticed that you could hardly see my eyes. I was so anxious to find something, anything, that I applied like a madman. I sent 10 applications, all of which were ignored.
I’m a computer science major and I have worked in customer service for the past few years. I have worked for a start-up that offers free web development courses. I excelled in my classes, but hated the work environment.
I’m applying for the job of my dreams and I just might have the resume to prove it. I used this template because I liked how it looked, it’s clean, simple and modern. Other templates I have seen have too many lines and look very unprofessional. This template is simple and clean. Everybody should know how to use a computer and have knowledge of how to write a resume.
It helped me land an entry-level Digital Marketing Specialist position with an incredibly cool company right out of college. I can’t tell you how many people reach out to me trying to sell me on the fact that they “hold the key to the kingdom” and want me to send them my CV… I tell them I already have that with my current position and they still don’t believe me.
I had a resume that was well put together, looked professional, and was well received by recruiters and employers alike. But it was a 2-page document that was limiting to what I was able to do. With this new template, I have not had so much as a rejection letter. More importantly, I haven’t heard anything at all negative about the resume.
I got hired on the spot. And, I am extremely grateful to have been able to do so. But, as cool as it is, that’s not the most important part of my job. As cool as it is, being able to make a decision and get hired on the spot is only half the battle.
My old resume had a boring layout with too many bullets, and didn’t stand out as much. The new resume is much more clear and concise.
I know there are some things wrong with it, but let me tell you about them. First of all, I had to cut out all the other jobs I had had from the past 5 years. I don’t think they are relevant to the jobs I am looking for now. Secondly, I want to tell you about the first job I worked at.
