I don’t like the old format where the header and the body of the resume were flush-fisted. I’d like it to stand out a bit more. I also didn’t like the big “I” in Education. I like the “I” so much that I’m thinking of changing the font.
I didn’t want a plain resume with boring black and white as I’m thinking of doing a golem or astrophotography type thing. I wanted a resume that made me stand out more, depending on which section you choose to read.
Reasons that I like it: It is a functional resume. I really love the idea of a functional resume. A functional resume is one where you put your education and experience first. It puts your skills up front so it is clear what you have first. This makes sense to me and makes sense to my editor.
I’m sure many will be happy to see it. Firstly, I think it’s beautiful. It’s very eye catching, and that’s a good thing. as I mentioned above, it’s a little different than the norm. Most resumes follow a more traditional “traditional” layout where the content lines up against the edge of the page.
First off, I *could* use a little help. I’ve spent so much time on it that it’s starting to look like a different resume altogether. And more importantly, I think it could help me stand out if I didn’t have a “standard” resume like everyone else’s.
I think it looks nice, being a little different from the norm. it’s a conscious decision to put achievement-oriented language (e., “proposed a plan to arrive at [company’s] data analysis” vs.
It’s clean! Two pages is too busy & cluttered. Pure professionalism first 🙂 The design makes keywords known already which can help with ATS sorting.
I don’t like the old style, and it’s just too much work to style/pretty anything, so I went with the foundry style. I feel that it’s a slightly unique layout. Also, I like the way it’s written.
(a+ b = font color) It’s much easier to parse Minimal design means that it’s easier to follow what’s going on. Easy to follow for recruiters – easy to glance at, no eye-candy.
I don’t like the old format because it was too customizable by the employer; I also liked the layout of their website better (noebels) and it allowed me to add a bit more detail to my experience descriptions. My old format was pretty bland.
It’s clean – something that is frowned upon unfortunately- it fits neatly onto one page with enough white space to fit into 5 point font without any gaps (I have ,and most importantly;it corresponds exactly wthsss! No need waste time searching through hundreds or thousands file covers hoping only luck would hold me back from getting rejected.
It’s clean, basic, and modern looking, with a very pronounced text format. I’m a graphic design major, so the color scheme and fonts are meant to be a bit eye-catching and nice to look at.
It is functional! You can clearly see what each section contains without having to flip through it. – Secondly ,it focuses on pleasing avarietyof users in general.
It is professional, and not something your average high schooler would ever submit. It looks like a real resume should. It’s not something you would submit to a job application site.
It looks so clean and modern, and it’s so visually appealing. It’s minimalist in nature and it’s not piled high with text. It’s simple and powerful. Plus it looks great.
It looks so neat, and I like the ability to have a resume that is easy to read.
It’s very creatively done. I think it’s simple, yet aesthetically pleasing. Third, it’s very readable. It doesn’t look deformed or difficult to read at all. And last, it’s extremely flexible. If this template is too much, try this one instead.
