A fantastic modern outline ideal for long resumes in either chronological or functional formats. Named Coho, it also comes with various icons for your interest, reference, social, skill sets and awards sections too.
Since all of the colors used were kept to a minimum when it was designed, it makes this template much easier to skim right to your core achievements in less than six seconds. This means employers won’t miss out on any of that good stuff you’ve got in store for them.
There are a ton of subtle additions that make this one of our most sought out for designs. Take the horizontal line placement above, for example. Making simple use of word’s lines and shapes, the sidebar is lightly decorated with adjustable proficiency bars. Pretty clever right?
Switch to different awards by swapping out academic for employee achievements.

No more running to the post office to print off a bunch of resumes and bring them in to work on them, my resumes were online and in a format that was readable and looked great. I was working at a call center and the recruiter kept asking me to apply for a different position. So I did and it was amazing going from a low call center position to something much more involved and time consuming. I brought in two different people from the company for interviews.
I originally read here that you should leave relevant coursework out of your resume, only include things that are relevant to the position you’re applying for. Well, after using this template, I am completely reworking my resume.
Getting a lot of responses off this template, sort of wasn’t expecting this. Anyway when I first started submitting it I was getting calls from for mostly sales related roles, but they were not the right fit for me. I do not want to be pigeon holed into that type of work. Anyway, despite loving the new resume I made, I am having trouble finding a job. Not anyone’s fault but mine. Thanks again, looks great guys.
I used this template to apply for two internships, both of which I was accepted to. I then applied to a third internship which I was also accepted to. The downside is that I did not get accepted, but I am still considering this option. The upside is that I have had two internships and I was also accepted to a research lab.
It landed me an entry-level job straight out of the academy. The only thing I can think of that would have made me more successful is if I knew ahead of time that I was going to be coming to this country as a refugee.
No more writing cover letters, because the information is contained within the resume. Slight tweaks are required to cater towards specific companies and their recruiters, but this template will allow you to focus on your strengths, which are your accomplishments.
You get to write your own summary statement. I can guarantee you that, as soon as someone sees your summary statement, they are going to want to puke. Instead, you give it to them by way of a small paragraph at the top of your resume. This paragraph acts as a teaser, you tell them what you can do and then tell them how you do it.
It’s much more readable, and the text is much easier to read. The text is also nicely aligned, unlike the previous template which had a lot of empty space around the text. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that the text is slightly bigger on the new resume, but I can easily fix that.
I used this template to apply for 2 internships. I got both of those internships! But I also applied for 2 jobs with that template. Both those jobs didn’t get me interviews, but they were positions I was well-suited for. The other day I was scrolling through and I saw someone use a really fancy looking template. And that person has had 3 interviews since I last saw that person.
I used to have a lot of bullet points and most of them were just repeated verbatim from the job description. This template gives me a chance to actually show my writing skills and differentiate myself from everyone else. I hope this helps. Cheers!
