It’s very clean, many cv templates I have seen are a mess It’s optimized for print, for those of you who prefer your resumes printed professionally. It’s only one page, which is a good thing when I am submitting it professionally.
It fits in one page. all my old jobs are in the same industry, which is a plus since most tech jobs are highly competitive.
First off it looks clean because you don’t have those annoying little rectangles labelled A/B – C etc inside circles that are just there to fill space.
With my old resume, I was always struggling to get companies to even look at my resume, let alone reply. The struggle was mostly due to me not having a vehicle or knowing where to look for a vehicle (I am 21 and live in a rural area with no vehicle options).
It’s beautiful! Secondly (and more importantly) It comes with an option to enter your work experience in standard format (. Txt). Not every company is as strict about their. Docx or xl files which many companies are now moving towards making available online also.
My old resume looked like it was scanned from a Word document by a computer, and didn’t have the kind of subtlety and style that a professional looking resume needs.
It’s very consistent in format – it’s the same regardless of the resume I’m applying for, and that ensures a quick glance up is easy. Since I’m still applying to the same positions, it keeps my experience fresh.
I wasn’t sure about some of the professional profile stuff. I also added a lot more quantitative stuff and I know now is not necessary. I noticed my old one was a mess.
It’s professional, but not cheesy since it provides you with an opportunity to put your personality/branding values into writing! Mine is “flexible & adaptable”. There are no awkward page breaks like Google Slides have been making us think. Thirdly (and probably most importantly), IT people sleep looking in their big ugly cubes at work all night long. So having said that.
First off, I think the color is nice – it’s not overbearing and doesn’t obscure the content. It also helps the content standout. The text is also bold and clear, which is always a bonus. Finally, I think the text is nicely spaced.
