It’s extremely clean / simple to follow. It emphasizes accomplishments (which is what you want).
It’s clean, simple, and organized in a way that I think is very appealing. It fits in one page, and is composed of artwork which is something that isalways a nice touch.
It allows me to show my skills/experiences in a way that put my CV to shame. the template is super easy to read, and does not raise flags on any automated screening programs. In addition, it allows me to organise my skills/experiences in a logical way, rather than wildly.
Most importantly, I think the aesthetic is very clean and minimal, which is something I strive for on my own resume. I think the one page rule is a thing of the past, and that has to be good. I’ve been on the job hunt too long without putting myself on anything.
I don’t like the “flashy” approach that many people take with their resumes. I think a list of your best skills is way to important. Instead of laying everything out there, it makes sense to me to drop it all in the “Experience” section and focus there.
Primarily, it looks like *something* and, second, it beats the heck out of Word. In addition, I tried to make the resume “writer friendly”, which is why I gave it a functional style. I wanted to demonstrate that I’m a capable person and team player.
* Second: It follows mostly common best practices (Use bullets & small paragraphs rather than large blocks o regular margins).
I think the main one is that it stands out a little from the rest of the pile, despite being what I believe to be a fairly average looking resume.
