It gives me space to put all my skills/passions/hobbies in one place, and since I’ve worked in a few different fields, I can group them together for a look that’s a little less formal/more fun/more fun. I’m also really digging the two column format.
It allowed me to fit all the critical information (including a long work history) on one page. I could have easily went on to two pages, but I did not want to sacrifice the information that hiring managers are looking for. Additionally, I wanted to showcase my freelance work in a great way.
You should never submit your resume in a . doc format. Ever. PDF files are readable by bots/robots. Microsoft Word files are readable by both bots and humans. Google Docs is a mess. You get what you pay for. I used Microsoft Word for years, and it was absolutely terrible. I’m glad I switched to Google Docs, because it’s opened almost every application I’ve submitted there. 2. Use the same format for everything.
It looks so professional, I don’t like that it is a 1 page resume like I was instructed to make it. My old resume was WAY out of date looking, from a purely physical perspective, like a high school/college student wrote it. It just looked weird. My old resume didn’t even have any quantifiable numbers in it.
It allowed me to fit all the important information on one page while still having enough breathing room to detail important achievements. I was able to create this resume back in 2011 when I was in High School so the experience and education section was kept short and concise. I am definitely capable of writing a resume but I doubt many employers will be impressed by the work experience section.
You don’t need a college degree to get a job, and you don’t need loads of experience to make a difference. If you work hard and play by the rules, you can have the same chance of getting a job as anyone else. Here’s how it works:1. Pick a template that is appropriate for your field. The more specialized the better. There are templates for lawyers, doctors, engineers, nurses, etc. 2.
Not only did I land a job right away, but I am extremely happy with my decision to move. I would highly recommend this template and hope you find it as helpful as I did.
I’m using a different template, but this one is giving me some trouble. I’m not sure how to lay it out. I tried using a single line for everything but the most recent job, which would be two lines, but whatever I end up having to write is taking up valuable space.
I used this template to apply for 2 internships and landed both. I am going to graduate soon and want to do whatever I can to help myself get into a great internship.I went through 3 or 4 different versions of my resume, and tried to make it as appealing as possible.
I had no idea what I was doing, and no one told me to change anything. I was dumb, and now I feel stupid for making the wrong choice. But I’m not going to give up now! I applied to 100+ jobs, and I only got 2 phone screens with no offer. I was dumb, and now I feel even more stupid for making the wrong choice. I was dumb, and now I feel even more stupid for making the wrong choice.
