I used this template to apply for two internships, both of which I was accepted to. I had no intern experience at all back then, and I definitely did not apply for “big boy jobs”. I was simply too inexperienced and too focused on trying to find out what I don’t know to seek advice. My current company, being a large company, was no exception to this rule.
It saves you time. You don’t have to waste time formatting your resume. All you have to do is format your work history. It saves you money. You don’t have to spend time writing a cover letter. All you have to do is write your resume. It saves you time from mistakes. You don’t have to go through the trouble of re-writing your resume from scratch.
I feel like it’s a lot more professional than my old cv. It’s not the standard “fancy layout with colors and shaded check boxes”. It’s not in a list. I didn’t just slap it together – it’s a lot more structured. I’m still using the most current version. I’m also a bit more confident of it than I was before.
It is simple. This means your viewers can understand what you are trying to say at a glance. Watch how many commercials use fancy layouts and look that up. It is consistent. Watch how many commercials use the same layout over and over. There is a difference between consistency and variety, and this translates to money. It is ATS friendly.
It’s simple. You have probably come across a resume that is a mess, with sections that are not connected, with too much information crammed into too small a space, or has too much information written in a style that is not appealing. No one wants to look at that mess. Simple is good. Simple is easy to read. Simple is consistent. Simple is clean.
Not only did it land me a job right away, but it has gotten me compliments on how my resume looks on paper. Not only that, but I’ve gotten great responses from potential employers that I’ve referred who have sent me their applications in for interviews. I’m talking about managers, too, who’ve said things like, “I actually really liked your resume.
You do not need to post in a forum, or ask a “professional” to review your resume – you do it all yourself. I am here to help, and I’ll give you tips and tricks and then help you draft the perfect resume. First Rule: Do Not Overlook Errors! There is a big difference between making a small mistake and committing a cardinal sin.
It’s simple, easy to understand, and guarantees an immediate *YES! * response from potential employers. Yes, you heard correctly. Before you scoff and say that no one would be able to find out from a quick Google search whether or not you are a real person or a fictional character, I’m going to prove to you that you are absolutely correct.
I used this template to land a job as a project manager at a large tech company. Not only did I land the job, but I also loved the layout of this resume. I will never go back to a chronological resume layout.
